CPI East Building

The east building at CPI is, like, the main dorm. It's a generic dorm. It's pretty nicely built, I guess. Like, it's a tall brick building. The exterior is kinda pretty, and there's a little bit of a terraced effect going into it? The entry pavillion is raised in some spots and not others, and it's rounded out in a pretty way. There's a lot of big plants in front of it that are fun to sit next to. The mulch is a really high quality, and is pretty soft. It's a purple color. I don't know how they did it, and I just hope that they didn't use some nasty artificial dye. That'd freak Deirdre out. She's already really antsy about the water here, like in the swamps and stuff, but it's alright. There's a parking lot out back, and it's pretty damn big mostly to accommodate for all the movers on moving day. When nobody's moving, some of the free spirited kids like Helen like to smoke cigarettes out of anyone's view. There's a pretty serious blindspot adjacent to the parking lot, which is because of a loading dock and a set of dumpsters which makes for great cover.

Inside, it's pretty, uh, simple I guess. It's kind of like a hotel. I don't really know how to compare any of it to anything else, but that's really it. There are a lot of actual rooms in the building, mostly because this is where pretty much everyone lives given that the other dorms are meant for special use cases. Which, of course, means that most of the rich kids live here, so as a result they take the most care of it. It gets the most needless renovations ever and they end up closing the elevator or the stairs randomly for days at a time.

You're not allowed to have ovens and stuff inside, since they're fire hazards and they don't trust any of the many, many residents not to burn the entire place down. It's weird, because they can let you have those sorts of things in the south building, but I figure it's because there's more supervision down there. I guess it's kind of a trade-off, then, for having to live in the south building. They can have something nice, right?
