The west building at CPI is the really heavy-duty psychiatric ward-type dorm, even if you can call it a dorm. I've never been inside of it, which might just speak of how good I've got it, but from what I gather it's not a great experience. I mean, it's just a mental asylum pretty much. I'm not really in on that loop, but I know for a fact that all these kinds of places end up attracting some pretty bad employees who don't give a damn about the people who they're in charge of. I've never heard of any definitive abuse cases coming out, but I can't imagine that they treat you nicely. Ivy always gets pissed off about it. I think she's been inside, so she'd probably know a lot about it.

The whole building's pretty damn creepy. It's like an abandoned hospital, sorta. I mean, it's not literally abandoned and it doesn't look decrepit, but the outside of it's so old looking that you'd totally expect to see ghost hunters inside, or something. Or, like, you'd read a newspaper and they'd mention this place used to be a sanitarium where their treatments killed patietns. Any of the windows, if there are any, are super tiny. Except for the main ones at the front that let you see into the reception room, but even those ones are pretty opaque.

A big thing about the west building is, like, they don't want to put people in it unless they absolutely got to. I guess it's kind of their measure of last resort? Penny, for example, she oftens goes in and out on a sorta repeating basis. I guess they move you from the west building to the south building if they think you're healthy enough for it, but then move you back if you get worse or whatever. It kinda sucks, but these guys are supposed to be professionals. They gotta know what they're doing. They have to.
