Penny's one of the few girls who's been to the west building at Center Path Institute who comes back out (then back in) on a regular basis. As you might imagine, she's kind of had it rough. I don't know what's going on with her exactly, but she always looks like she never gets enough sleep at all. Her hair is buzzed super short and she dresses pretty masculinely, and apparently has a crap ton of different band t-shirts (all awesome bands by the way). Her hair is a light orange-red and she has green eyes. She has freckles, I think, but I try not to stare at her.

I usually see her when I go to the south building to hang out with Deirdre after class. Penny's often by herself, staring off into nothing and listening to an old school MP3 player, or she's doing the same thing but sitting next to Zoey. Seeing her with Zoey is kind of cute, because Zoey, like, can't 'get' that she's being quiet​? How do I put it... well, if you maybe sat with Penny, and you saw how quiet she was (I have NEVER heard her speak for the record), you'd probably get the impression that she wasn't interested in talking to you. Zoey doesn't 'get' this, I think, and talks to her anyways. Now, I'd be worried that Zoey's overstaying her welcome (she can kind of be like that sometimes, she always wants to chat), but it's actually Penny that comes and seeks out Zoey, not the other way around. So, I guess she must like Zoey's company.

I've never been able to work up the confidence to go talk to Penny. I don't know why. I always get a little jealous of her cool ass t-shirts, and to my surprise, she's got a few shirts from bands that nobody else but me listen to. Man...
