CPI East Building

At Center Path Institute, the East Building is used to house students who only reside for a certain part of the year, as well as housing a number of amenities for students who travel to the campus but do not reside there. A majority of students receive permanent or semi-permanent housing on campus in the other residential buildings, but none of them are generally to be lodged in the East Building outside of extenuating or extraordinary circumstances. The East Building is home to a very well-furnished recreational center, hosting a few billiard tables, a small air hockey table, and perhaps around two arcade cabinets of dubious authenticity. There may be a pinball machine.

The first floor of the building hosts the reception area, the recreational area, and a fairly sizeable storage corridor containing a few hundred safety deposit boxes of varying size for off-campus students to keep things they can't (or don't want to) bring home. As one may be able to ascertain, much of the focus on the building is making it as appealing as possible to potential new tenants--new students--new tuitions. As much as CPI prides itself on philanthropy and charity, it is still a private educational facility and, in order to continue operating, requires profits. Prospecting parents scoping out the surrounding locale (which really just consists of Semyot High School) are meant to be drawn to the East Building and its luxurious amenities.

The East Building is often the facade of the entirety of the academy because of its proximity to the main roadway through Burncastle. Many people, in fact, do not know that there is more to the campus than the East Building. You can really only access the campus by the bridge next to it. Additionally, because it is sort of the 'face' of the school, it got a huge facelift less than a decade ago.
