CPI Central Building
The Central Building of Center Path Institute is the actual academy. All other buildings provide either amenities (such as the food court or the sports area), or are the residential buildings--that is, the West, North, East, and South Buildings. The Central Building is connected to all other buildings by means of a large concrete walkway, which is arranged in the form of two large circular paths centered on the Central Building, with lesser arterial or accessory paths that trail off to whereever it may be that they're required.
Despite the premiere purpose of CPI as a boarding school for those who may require special accomodations due to a mental health condition or hybridization, the campus allows open enrollment from anyone within or around the area of Burncastle. Enrollment from individuals who do not benefit from its special accomodations is often expensive, but due to the high quality compared to the other schools in the area such as Semyot High School, many parents flock to the school to enroll their child.
The educational style of CPI focuses on preparing the student for a fully independent and autonomous life as an adult, which also goes hand-in-hand with its mission to help rehabilitate or acclimate indivdiauls with mental disorders to a similar kind of free lifestyle. Enrollment opens up at the age of 16 for students, and very generally speaking, students conclude their education at CPI at the age of 20 or sooner. Thus, it can be accurately said that the overarching curriculum for such students is a blend of later-year high school academics with early-career collegiate studies, interspersed with home economic courses to assist students with becoming a member of society. Students are allowed and encouraged (with some supervision for minors) to make their own schedule and pick their own classes at a broad scale. Many students use this as an opportunity to overload their early semesters, so that they may either graduate early or have a lot of free time in their later years.
Owing to the many affluential parents whose students attend CPI, as well as very generous donations from the board of directors headed by the school's founder Constantine van der Gros, the school itself is naturally of a very high quality. It may even be described as luxurious. The same extends to the quality of education: all teachers are vetted by the board of directors, and in being paid handsomely for their efforts, do their very best to teach the students at the school. Courses include standard educational essentials, such as English (both literary and performative variants), Mathematics (such as calculus, computer science, or statistics), History (which includes philosophy or societal studies), and Science (such as biology, anthropology, paleontology, et cetera); students may also be very pleased to explore elective options that don't quite well fit into the aforementioned 'big four', such as Communications & Media, Politics, Engineering, Architecture, and many more.
