A massive, high-cost luxury boarding school in the middle of Burncastle, along the banks of the Semyot River and to the western edge of the downtown area. It was founded by Constantine van der Gros--who is a hybrid--with the intent of having an academy wholly dedicated to hybrids. Obviously, since there are probably a grand total of a few thousand hybrids across the world, his business model failed and he had to open the doors to us, the degenerate and unworthy laiety (that was a joke). It's a fairly typical 'rich kid' school in some places, and then you might wander into the wrong part of campus and watch a muscular orderly wrestle a runaway back into one of the asylum buildings. Why? Because, of course, it doubles as an asylum for troubled youths.

Right. Asylum buildings. Center Path Institute is divided into five main buildings: east, west, south, north, and center. Each one is intended to serve a specific purpose, but all of the actual education occurs in the center building. Numerous other buildings exist on the campus--a small recreational center, a food court, a sports area, you know. The sorts of things you'd might expect from a nicer, albeit small campus. The grounds are usually well maintained, and everything is interconnected by huge concrete walkways. There's a lot of places to hide, and there's a massive web of access tunnels beneath the campus that some people like to use to get around discreetly. You're not supposed to go down there, but nobody is ever there to stop you.

In regards to its curriculum and educational style, it's an unusual set-up. You come here at 16, and you leave at 20. It's the last half of high school and the first half of college, all in one school. A lot of the focus on the curriculum is on preparing students for pursuing 4-to-8 year degrees at other universities, as well as living by themselves--an independency type thing. Everything else is dedicated to the psychiatric cases or hybrids who attend the campus. This place does have a surprisingly comprehensive plan for that sort of thing, which goes in defiance of how evil Constantine always looks.

Roughly speaking, about 60% of the student body are 'normal', 30% are hybrids, 20% are rich kids, and 30% are psychiatric cases. To say it bluntly, these numbers don't add up to 100%. There's overlap.
