Calvary Estate
The Calvary Estate is an old, crumbling manor in the northwestern-most extremes of the town of Burncastle. 'Estate' is really the only appropriate word to describe it, as the entire estate itself is more than just the mansion at its center, but nobody dares to explore it and figure out exactly what else is present. There are at least a few additional buildings, but it cannot really be said what purpose they served: after all, the walls surrounding the estate are extremely high and made of dense bricks. The buildings too are unusual, as they are extremely large.
The estate was constructed a few hundred years ago, when the original colonists who founded Burncastle intermingled with the local hybridized indigenous populations. The Calvary family is directly descended from one of the marriages that occurred during this period of time, and some local historians suggest that the marriage was arranged to resolve some form of political dispute, which was generally common all across the world at that time. With a majority of the Calvary family being hybridized, it makes sense why all of the infrastructure of the grounds are super-sized. The architecture is in an antiquated, elegant style, and there is an overwhelming amount of dark red all over the estate; in the last couple of decades, though, the estate has grown increasingly dilapidated and worse for wear.
Recent rumors supposedly suggest that the estate has been sold to a real estate developer, but with no signs of human life near the place, it is hard to discern whether or not this is true. Furthermore, the estate is haunted. I have seen a ghostly figure lurking in the woods around it. It's haunted.
