Golems are the central figure in some kind of horror story turned conspiracy theory, wherein hybridized people are supposedly descended from some kind of superhuman, inhuman cryptid. No definitive record of a golem exists, and as one would expect, no definitive description of a golem exists either. The best we have are attempts at reverse-engineering their description based on what abberations are found in local hybridized populations; general consensus dictates that golems were much taller than humans on average and lacked facial features aside from a large mouth, which could unhinge much like a snake's. Not much else is known, so as a result, people took it too far and came up with stories about how golems used to eat people or sink ships during the Age of Exploration, or that they're stupid by nature and can't think for themselves.

Golems probably never existed. A lot of people unfortunately use them to justify certain discriminatory practices or biases against hybridized people, claiming that mistreatment is acceptable for a species of human descended from man-eating idiotic cannibals. There is a considerable degree of interplay between these beliefs and the injustices that many hybrids face today.
