A curious theory. Some people seriously believe that hybrids are the result of a person having sex with a so-called 'golem', which I hear is supposedly a nine foot tall humanoid abomination from a horror movie, birthed from some secretive pseudo-magical laboratory in the old world. I can't blame anyone for thinking this--fantasies do make this dull world a little brighter--but it's a little ridiculous to really believe in it. It's far more likely that 'hybrids' are called that because of old-school racists refusing to see the native tribes around Burncastle as human, which meant that anyone who decided to have children with one were, in their eyes, making hybrids with non-human savages. The fact this terminology has survived into the modern day suggests a lot about how ignorant the average person is, doesn't it?
